100 days and 40yrs around the corner!
Hey everybody. Sending along an update and some information.
1st - Pam is feeling great. She has her energy back and is doing great. She is bopping around and chasing the kids to summer events and activities. She had a haircut the other day and is feeling good about taming her now curly hair. The one issue she is having is with the muscles in her legs. There seems to be some problem with the tissue around the muscles and this is causing her pain when she walks any significant distance (a 1/4 mile or more). She is really unable to walk around town much, but is totally fine to ride her bike (new one for her big Birthday!) Pam turns 40 tomorrow!
2nd - We are just about 100 days from the transplant. This is significant as they start to really try to reduce her immune suppressants at this point. She will have bone marrow taken and a PET scan in the next couple of weeks as they can schedule things. These tests will guide the process of how quickly they want to reduce the meds.
3rd - Troy, Tucker, Sam, Becky (Pam's sister), and Matt (Pam's thirteen yr. old nephew) are all doing the Prouty this weekend. Tuck, Sam and Griff will walk 5k and the rest of us will bike 35 miles in the effort to raise $$ for the Norris Cotton Cancer Center at DHMC. This place is a tremendous resource for us up here in VT and NH. If you would like to support our team or a team member you can do so HERE. Please do not feel obligated to do so.
So as Pam goes "soaring" into her 40's we are hoping for continued good news and results throughout the summer!
